Looming Process
Warp Preparation
The yarns that run lengthwise (warp) are arranged on the loom in precise alignment. Proper preparation ensures even tension and smooth weaving.
Weaving on Looms
The warp yarns are interlaced with the crosswise yarns (weft) using mechanical or hand-operated looms. This forms the basic structure of the fabric. Modern looms allow high-speed production while maintaining accuracy in texture and density.
Patterning & Design
Depending on the fabric type, designs and textures are created during weaving. This can include simple plain weaves, twills, or complex jacquard patterns.
Quality Checks During Weaving
Continuous monitoring ensures there are no breaks, uneven tension, or defects. Early detection prevents waste and maintains fabric quality.
Unloading & Inspection
Once weaving is complete, the fabric is carefully removed from the loom and undergoes initial inspection for consistency, density, and defects before moving to dyeing or finishing.
